We provide a wide range of aviation and related services to domestic and international markets. PAL Aerospace is currently looking for a Training Captain at our Halifax, NS base.


As Training Captain, duties and responsibilities shall include but not be limited to, the following:

  • Develop and maintain training documentation dedicated to the Mission Systems Training Programs for surveillance operations in Canada and the International Market
  • Delivery of Mission System Operator Training Programs in Canada
  • Assist in the development and delivery of new training programs for special mission aircraft
  • Assess the training requirements of new training business opportunities
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of SOP training programs
  • Develop and assist in the design of training deliverables
  • Maintain current lesson plans and course syllabus of active programs
  • Coordinate training as required to ensure self-competency, check rides or special events
  • Identify and document shortfalls regarding training deficiencies in deliverable programs and recommend corrective action
  • Maintain flying currency and proficiency
  • Conduct developmental flight ops under the direct supervision of the Chief Pilot, PAL Aerospace
  • Conduct pilot mentor duties as part of the UAE contract
  • Other duties as assigned



  • 3000 hours total flight time
  • ATPL
  • Experience on Maritime Patrol Aircraft
  • Military instructional experience is considered an asset
  • Transport Canada category 1 medical
  • Completion of a post-secondary diploma or degree
  • Military A Category instructor qualification is considered an asset
  • Experience in creating, maintaining and overseeing training programs
  • Previous instructional experience
  • Proficient with MS office suite
  • Able to travel for business
