PAL Aerospace is currently looking for a Sensor Operator at our Curacao base.

You will perform such duties of Sensor Operator (SO) in a multi-crew environment conducting maritime patrol operations. Your primary duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Maintaining a tactical radar picture, in-flight planning, and operation of Electro-Optic/Infrared (EO/IR) sensors to detect and identify sea, air, and land contacts, as well as recording all information acquired during a surveillance mission.

  • Maintain proficiency and currency IAW sensor operator directives;

  • Organize, develop and deliver IMQT tactical crew training to the following occupations:

    • TACCOs;

    • Sensor Operators: and

    • Observers

  • Fulfill ready one duties (on call);

  • Liaise with DCCG O&E team on all matters related to tactical crew training issues;

  • Subject Matter Expert on tactical crew training;

  • Maintain all training documentation related to IMQT training;

  • Research new innovative training approaches to IMQT training subject to Service Provider Responsibility;

  • Assist with audits under the direction of the PAL O&E representative;

  • Assist with tactical publication upkeep; and

  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Knowledge of airborne tactical navigation

  • Experience operating airborne mission systems

  • Experience operating radio and satellite communication systems

  • Military experience is considered an asset

  • Experience collaborating with international clients is considered an asset

  • Must be able to obtain required security clearances

  • Sensor Operator background with maritime patrol operations consistent with mission profiles in the Area of Operations.

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating maritime search radars and EO/IR equipment in multi-crew surveillance aircraft.

  • Multimode radar experience to include:

    • Radar imaging  interpretation;

    • Drug interdiction operations; 

    • SAR operational planning and experience; and

    • ISR knowledge.

  • Minimum (1) year sensor operator flight instruction experience.

  • Experience in flight instruction program design and delivery

  • Dash – 8 - aircraft experience preferred.

  • Experience dealing with international clients.

  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of products.
