PAL Aerospace is accepting applications for a motivated, energetic and detail-oriented Engineering Manager to join our team in Mississauga, ON.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Provide oversight to the efforts of the PAL Aerospace Engineering Group;
  • Develop and present project charters for various projects / efforts;
  • Establish the strategic direction of the department consistent with the company’s short and long term objectives, 
  • Ensure that sound, efficient, and professional engineering practices are utilized while developing current and future products and services trends that align with the overall business strategy
  • Assist with regular on-going reporting for Divisional purposes;
  • Work with the Vice President, Aerospace to develop the Engineering budget;
  • Be accountable for budget management to ensure sound financial management including cost control to ensure costs do not exceed budget and financial targets are achieved;
  • Provide guidance for the goals of the teams, and ensure they're moving the company forward
  • Provide oversight into managing existing business as well develop new business
  • Ensure clear and objective communication of goals, responsibilities, and timelines between all stakeholders, both internal and external; and
  • Lead and manage the Engineering personnel as required.



  •  Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical);
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a complex engineering organization;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ management/leadership experience;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a business function (business and reporting processes);
  • Superior communication skills;
  • A flexible attitude with the ability to adapt to changing timelines and priorities;
  • A solid work ethic with a high value on integrity;
  • Excellent time management skills, coupled with the ability to motivate team members to accomplish goals under tight timelines;
  • A natural leader, engaging team members to achieve their highest potential within the organization;
  • Strong relationship management, strategy development, project management, problem solving and change management skills
  • A strategic approach to addressing complex issues and problems; and
  • Continuous improvement skills with the mindset of building efficiency in all aspects of the Engineering group.
  • Completion of a Business/Commerce degree would be considered an asset
